The Art Of The Accidental Cock Block

Ah, the accidental cock block. So I’ve done this to one of my friends twice and I feel like a complete ass. The one incident I remember occurred at a wedding. He had pointed out a woman who he had briefly chatted up and thought he was making good progress. Later at dinner, I noticed that the woman in question had a free seat beside her so I go up to my friend and loudly proclaim to everyone at his table, “Hey! The fuck are you doing over here? I thought you were totally going for that chick over there!” Unfortunately, he was sitting next to another woman who he had been interested in for weeks.

The other incident I don’t remember but I’m sure it was equally terrible.

It’s nearly impossible to stop the accidental cock block until it’s too late. Beware it’s relationship prevention powers.

    This scene establishes the tone of the story as a romantic comedy. The unfulfilled sexual tension and questions arising from it will become a strong undercurrent in the character’s relationship.

    If, however, the feelings had been culminated in Loves First Kiss, it would establish the story as a tragedy, as the fallout from these choices becomes appearent to the characters, and the consequences of the real world tear apart their dreamt romance over time.

    Unless, of course…*
